Support for Cleveland Families Facing Lead Hazards
For families living in a Cleveland rental property built before 1978, both short- and long-term support is available, including temporary hotel lodging, and permanent relocation solutions.
The Lead Safe Relocation Assistance Program supports families in Cleveland who are displaced or at risk of being displaced from their homes due to circumstances related to lead, including:
- Lead abatement or remediation activities taking place on their property
- Lead hazard control orders with vacate orders
- Hospitalization of children for highly elevated blood lead levels
- The risk of eviction or legal issues related to lead poisoning or lead hazards
Our goal is to prevent childhood lead exposure while providing families with safe housing.
